Pathways
 

 Kea is a unique destination for nature and hiking lovers everywhere. The stone-laid paths spanning 36 km (22 miles) were in ancient times a part of the road network that connected the settlements. Each pathway has been designated by white-red signs, and each one has its own historic and natural beauty interest, rewarding the hiker with scenes of impeccable natural beauty.

 

Water Sports & Scuba Diving
 

 At Koundouraki beach, on the southwest side of the island, sea adventure enthusiasts will find their point of reference. Kea Water Sports Club offers a wide range of choices to those who want to test their might on water sports! Water skiing, canoeing, wake-boarding, paddle-boarding, ski biking are some of the activities available. Also, there are professional diving instructors ready to train you.

 

Cultural Events
 

 Every summer, the Fairy-Tale Celebration assembles a diverse international crowd. Visitors come to attend storytelling and creativity events that take place across the island. It is a schedule of events for children and adults alike, with popular narrators that wander and travel with you on ancient pathways, beaches, archaeological sites, picturesque narrow town streets and town squares.

 

It is not by chance that on every corner of Kea you will find a small church or chapel. The locals customarily organize “panigyri” events, leading to the main attraction on August 15th, the celebration of Holy Mary at the monastery of Kastriani.
